Taking the Gospel beyond our walls.

St. Luke's carries its ministry into homes, schools, prisons, hospitals, workplaces and communities across Uganda.

Alongside evangelism sits practical care - for people facing sickness, bereavement and hardship, for widows building livelihoods, and for Deaf worshippers who have long been left outside the life of the church. This is not a side project to worship. It is worship expressed publicly.

Missions and Evangelism

The ministry proclaims the Gospel through missioner training, door-to-door evangelism, school ministry, prison ministry, hospital ministry, workplace outreach and missions outside Kampala, with discipleship classes that follow up new believers.

In 2025 the team ministered in schools around Kampala, in prisons including facilities in Luzira, Kigo and Kitalya, and in communities in Buliisa and Bundibugyo. The church also hosted more than 300 pilgrims from Nebbi Diocese ahead of the Namugongo Martyrs Day celebrations.

Community through home cells

Community through home cells

Home cells bring members together for prayer, Bible study, fellowship and practical care close to where they live. They also help the church reach local communities and connect new members with supportive Christian relationships.

In 2025 the ministry held seven community outreaches and a Cell Day attended by more than 200 people, alongside refresher training for cell leaders and the annual Hymn Carol Night. Community outreach resulted in people accepting Christ and joining local cell groups.
